Founded a web hosting and development company to service the Orlando market's personal and small business customers. Responsible for operations management, development, and systems administration. Project manager and lead developer for HTML/CSS, ASP and ASP.NET web site development projects.

Installed and configured WordPress for client sites and blogs, including custom plugin programming. Converted web site layouts from clients and designers into standards-compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Installed, security hardened, and administered Windows 2000/2003, FreeBSD, and Linux servers. Installed, configured, and developed applications to support web hosting operations. Provided customer support for web hosting customers.

Configured an open source email system using Postfix and Cyrus IMAP with a MySQL database back end for account information. Developed and implemented an ASP.NET interface to Cyrus IMAP and MySQL to allow administrators and end users to configure their email account settings.

Chief Information Officer for a mortgage industry software developer. Responsible for systems management and backend development of the company's primary SAAS ASP.NET product.

Developed a web service to allow easy importing of customers from external systems to our service. Added functionality to our product to communicate with our lending customers via web services to share data and status updates between systems. Created disaster recovery and business continuity plans in preparation for audit and certification.

To hone my skills, contribute to open source projects, or just to see an idea come to fruition, I've done the following on my free time:

Followinger- A tool to get Twitter stats for users via direct messages. Uses PHP to call the Twitter API for data which is sent back to the requestor via the API and is stored for historical reporting.

jTwit- A jQuery plugin to display Twitter updates from a user with optional filtering. Used at BarCamp Orlando to display Twitter updates on a LCD display in the common area.

Hail the Ale! WordPress theme and plugin customization - Integrated a logo and various layout/design tweaks into an existing WordPress theme to create a customized look for my hobby blog. Updated plugins to work with a load balancing, clustered hosting environment.

Ecartis- Contributed patches in 2002-2003 to this open source mailing list manager project, one fixing a long-standing bug.

Technology Consultant for the Southeast area as a liaison between the audit and assurance service business unit and our internal technology business unit. Worked with executive management of both business units to facilitate communication and provide problem resolution for technology issues.

1996 to 1998 - Network Manager and Project Manager for six Florida area offices. Supported Netware NDS, performed server upgrades, and managed technology projects which spanned multiple Florida offices.

Taught classes in Novell Netware 4/5, Web Page Design, and Using FrontPage as an adjunct instructor at a local technical college . Prepared all lesson plans, classroom study materials, and hands-on project designs.

Network administrator and desktop support technician for a 120 person engineering and manufacturing facility. Administered and supported Novell Netware 3, Windows NT 3.51 server, and Windows for Workgroups 3.11.
